Join Hadyn Wilson for a day’s ‘plein air’ painting in the magical environs of Mosman, following in the footsteps of Hilda Rix Nicholas. In conjunction with the exhibition Une Australienne, students will retrace and re-paint some of the landscapes that Hilda undertook when she lived in the area while referencing the artistic history of some of these iconic locations. The object of the day will be to capture the fleeting light, character, and something of the poetry of Sydney Harbour in painting sketches that emphasize spontaneity.
