Miku Sato, international artist from Japan and MAGnet Artist in Residence will be conducting a Soup Workshop on Friday 24 April at Headland Park, Mosman, near the BBQs (wet weather – Landship Gallery) from 10am to 12 noon.

Six workshop participants representing six different cultures within Australian society will be working with Miku to make six different soups. Members of the public are invited to share in this free special event by watching the cooking process and then enjoying some of the different soups made.

Miku’s art practice to date has concentrated on video art and photography with an ongoing interest in food, and the symbolic sharing of food in order to create harmony, connectedness and common ground between cultures.

The event will be filmed for Miku’s research and this will go towards making a new video artwork later in the year.
