Run away with the circus at the Mosman Art Gallery!

Come and challenge those childhood recollections, tickle your sensory memories and explore an amazing collection of circus images.

Step Right Up! The Circus in Australian Art looks at ‘circus’ from a fine arts perspective. It explores the many mythologies surrounding the circus tradition – as a refuge from real life, as imaginary world of exaggerated good and evil, of physical achievement and mystery.

Step Right Up! The Circus in Australian Art features historical and contemporary artworks drawn from state, regional, commercial and private collections and works from the Albury City collection.

Artists include John Olsen, Jeffrey Smart, Anne Zahalka, Ken Whisson, Ponch Hawkes, John Brack, Fred Williams, Petrina Hicks, George Baldessin, Margaret Cliento and many more.
