Art Lecture Series: Lorraine Kypiotis

Join art historian Lorraine Kypiotis for a lecture on 15th-century Renaissance art, presented as part of the Art Lecture Series. Lorraine is Head of Undergraduate Studies and a lecturer in Art History and Theory at the National Art School in Sydney.

The Italian Renaissance: a window to the world

Italy in the 15th century was the epicentre of the period known as the Renaissance: an era of the rebirth of many of the ideals of the ancient world. Join Lorraine as she takes a deep dive into the Renaissance and discover why it happened, who were the main artists, and what was their legacy.

The talk will run from 10am–11am and will be followed by morning tea, it will be held at the Allan Border Oval Pavilion, across from Mosman Art Gallery.
