Mosman Council is proud to present the 2011 Festival of Mosman, a ten day extravaganza running from 28 October to 6 November 2011.

It features a huge array of cultural and community events including open air concerts, art exhibitions, wine and food fair, exploration of historical sites, a world premiere musical and formal recreation activities.

The Festival includes events that bring visitors and locals together to celebrate the best-of-the-best of Sydney – its stunning beaches, scenery and lookouts, its harbour lifestyle including fine dining and shopping, its vibrant arts experiences and its easy walking access to National Parks and other natural wonders.

Festival activities, exhibitions and events will take place at sites throughout Mosman. Highlights of this year’s Festival include a World Drumming Concert, Contemporary Corroboree, Open Air (a locative media project), a preview of the Balnaves Gift (a $1 million donation of Australian artworks), the musical Golden Summers, Hunter Valley Uncorked at Balmoral, the inaugural Mosman Open Day and the return of many much loved community events such as Pet’s Day Out, Concert in the Park, Mosman Superstar, Children’s Fair and much, much more.

The Festival runs in conjunction with In Situ: Mosman Festival of Sculpture and Installation. This is a collaborative sculpture exhibition that will be on show 24 hours every day featuring traditional sculptural works, contemporary installations and 3D works in over fifty sites and shops located along Military Road from Mosman to Spit Junctions.

The Festival of Mosman is organised by Mosman Council with considerable input, support and assistance from local community groups and volunteers. Council would like to express its appreciation to them and to the Festival sponsors.

We invite every resident and visitor to enjoy the 2011 Festival of Mosman.
