In societies and cultures the world over, the concept of ‘the sacred’ and ‘sacredness’ is as fluid a notion as is that of contemporary cultural identity. This half day program will include discussions investigating key themes in the exhibition, in particular the notion of what may be considered sacred within a community, and what we may personally hold sacred.
Speakers include exhibiting artists; Adorned, Elena Papanikolakis, Marikit Santiago and Shireen Taweel; artist Liam Benson, curator and writer Nur Shkembi; and artist and curator Talia Smith.
FREE event but bookings essential. Includes afternoon tea.
