SCRIBBLY TABLE RUNNER

Join artist Rhonda Pryor in the Artists of Mosman: 2088 exhibition for a two-hour workshop where participants will play with the drawing potential of hand stitching!

With the squillions of variations you can achieve using a single hand stitch, you’ll take that line for a walk, as they say, by using a needle and thread. Participants will take home a small but unique, pure (heavy weight) linen table runner for yourself, or as a gift for someone special. You will find this a meditative and absorbing experience.

Each table runner will measure approximately 70 x 30 cm (unfinished size). Workshop is suitable for adults at all skill levels.

All materials (in neutral colours), equipment and resource sheets (including instructions on how to finish the edges) plus a glass of wine on arrival will be included.

About Rhonda Pryor
Working across the disciplines of photography, painting and textile, Rhonda Pryor creates artwork with a unique focus on materials: materials that have meaning for her, and that are influenced by time, memory and sense of place. After originally training and working in fashion design and production, Pyror altered course to study drawing and painting at the Julian Ashton Art School, continuing her studies at the College of Fine Arts, where I majored in painting while completing a Bachelor of Fine Art degree. While studying her Masters degree at Sydney College of the Arts, her media of choice evolved to photography and textile work. As part of her practice Pryor teaches creative workshops with personal attention that stimulate inspiration and embrace imperfection as part of the creative process.
