As part of the Sydney Sacred Music Festival enjoy an evening of music for Shakuhachi, a traditional Japanese flute made of bamboo that, in the hands of a skilled player, has a particularly rich and varied sound.
Riley Lee is Australia’s only Grand Master of the shakuhachi and has performed internationally since 1973. The intimate performance space in the Mosman Art Gallery’s is ideally suited for these sacred pieces.
