Mini Beasts by the Embroiderers’ Guild NSW, Mosman Group

Step into a miniature wonderland where beetles shimmer, butterflies’ flit and tiny creatures come to life, one stitch at a time. Mini Beasts is a joyful,
collaborative celebration of all things small and marvellously detailed, lovingly created by the hands and hearts of the Mosman Embroiderers’
Guild NSW – Mosman Group.

Each handcrafted patch is a story in itself, a playful dance of thread, texture and colour. Look closely and you’ll discover a kaleidoscope of techniques: traditional stitches passed down like heirlooms, new methods lovingly learned and creative experiments that burst with personality. These embroidered insects are more than charming – they are tiny ambassadors of a shared creative spirit.

The Embroiderers’ Guild NSW is a haven for stitchers of all kinds, from curious beginners to lifelong makers. Our members range in age and background, but we’re united by the love of needle and thread, and the joy of learning, sharing, and creating together. Like bees in a hive, our community buzzes with the hum of collective creativity.

Supported by a partnership with Mosman Art Gallery, Mini Beasts is a celebration of community, craft and connection. Each stitched creature is a
tribute to the Guild’s mission: to keep the rich tradition of embroidery alive and evolving. We honour the past while sowing seeds for the future, one
lovingly stitched antenna or glimmering wing at a time.

And just like honey draws bees, we invite you – curious makers, lovers of beauty and wandering creatives to join us. Come stitch with us, share stories and be part of a vibrant living tradition that grows more magical with every thread.
