Monkey On My Back – 2011 Best Film

The 24/7 Youth Film Festival is jointly organised by SHOROC, the councils of Warringah, Pittwater, Mosman and Manly.

Created especially for the region’s young people, The 24/7 Film Festival has been going for the past nine years. This year, twenty eight films were entered in the competition. Following a series of skills workshops the contestants, who were all between the ages of 12 and 24, were given a list of items, phrases, locations and themes that had to appear in the film. The film was to be no longer than seven minutes and they had just 24 hours to make it in.

The films produced by the 2011 top ten finalists will be on show in The Cube for just three days!
