Mosman artist Gerald Christmas presents a unique interpretation of life at Balmoral through his kaleidoscopic paintings of a harbour side paradise.

In this series of works it is evident that his painting has recently evolved from traditional landscape representation to a naïve figurative style which he employs to depict his observations of the people, culture and environs of Balmoral.

His paintings which feature bold and contrasting colours, shapes and patterns retain the innocent qualities of a children’s story book combined with an adults wry observations of life lived in this idyllic public domain.
