Notes for Walking is an innovative locative media artwork taking place at Middle Head and Mosman Art Gallery. The project will be trialled during December with an official launch as part of the Sydney Festival 2013 in early January.
Notes for Walking is a narrative written on landscape, which uses mobile phones and GPS technologies to reveal an intriguing environment, where things are never quite what they seem.
Notes for Walking will lead audiences around the abandoned naval fort overlooking Sydney Harbour at Sydney Harbour National Park, Middle Head Mosman, on a journey that is part treasure hunt and part mystery tour.
A media installation in The CUBE at the Mosman Art Gallery integrates video and audio with audience responses.
Before visiting Middle Head to experience Notes for Walking, it is best to download the Notes for Walking app with WiFi. You can use the free WiFi available in The Cube at the Mosman Art Gallery or on site at Middle Head.
