This painting emerges from an ongoing exploration of abstraction through tools associated with domestic labour. Using kitchen wipes, scrubbers and other household implements, the artist translates gestures of wiping and scrubbing into painterly action. Repetitive movements leave layered traces that accumulate across the surface, recording pressure and movement while shifting between making and erasure to produce a dense chromatic field that renders invisible labour visible.
