“AM is part of a new series of paintings made through the lens of my car windshield in the rain, with the windscreen wipers turned off, allowing the droplets to pool and distort the view. This process disrupts the traditional depiction of the landscape, breaking down colour and form to help me translate what I see into paint through brushstrokes and my colour palette.
Is what we see always what is in front of us? Is what is real still real? Is the familiar still familiar when it is warped through an unfamiliar lens?”
