The wild coastline at Little Wobby, Pittwater, offers an experience of wise old bream and deep insight. Here, the artist feels a connection between local culture, civilisation, the natural world, and God. Fishermen abound, and God has long held connections with fishermen.
Imagine the Wobbegong, reported, historical, remembered, the carpet shark. Here, it has become something of a myth, though no less a creation of God for it. It is less a harvest for fishermen and storytellers than the great white or the bull shark has been this year, and that, too, will change.
