No Pseudo-Satisfiers considers the entangled relationship between artist and artwork, staging a view of hands submerged beneath accumulated abstract forms, each gesture standing in for an idea. It celebrates art-making as a physical, deeply human pastime, a quiet resistance to, and escape from, increasing digital intrusion.
Tucker’s collage-based method brings figurative and non-representational elements into productive tension, with fragments cut and redistributed until the composition arrives at its internal logic. Bound within a plaited fabric frame, each component holds equal standing. Paintings and sculptural works are developed in tandem, each informing the material and formal decisions of the other.
