The Wanderer simultaneously inhabits reality and imagination, mind and place. We are the wanderer, traversing the landscape and its vastness, not as a physical being but through the mind, through the imagination. There is no literal destination or fixed interpretation.
The work is both slumbering and fluid, embracing an experience of malleability that encompasses the internal and the external, the mind and the physical. It is a dance of pluralism within our minds, within the feeling of being lost, of being nowhere, yet still feeling grounded and present.
This dualistic relationship questions the participatory nature of the individual, where we become the determiner of what we see. It is an invitation to participate in the emergence of the world, both internally and externally.
