The Mosman Youth Art Prize driven by Audi Centre Mosman is an annual competition organised by Mosman Council aimed at encouraging the creative talents of young, aspiring and emerging artists and providing a showcase for their works. It was initiated in 1988 by the internationally renowned artist and local resident Ken Done AM. The Prize is open to all young people aged 12-21 years and is one of the richest Youth Art Prizes in Australia.
The winners of the Mosman Youth Art Prize 2016 were announced on Thursday 21 July and received over $8,000 in cash prizes and $6,000 in art scholarships, materials and prizes.
Please note that on the last day of the Mosman Youth Art Prize, Sunday 7 August, there will be an exhibition highlights tour led by the gallery guides at 2.00pm. The exhibition will then close at 3.00pm so that artists can pick up their artworks before 5.00pm.
