A celebration of Filipino art, dance and culture at the Art Gallery of NSW

Join speakers, artists and performers from the Filipino community to launch the Bayanihan Philippines Art Project. The project aims to promote the art and culture of the Philippines through a series of exhibitions, performances, creative writing and community programs across multiple venues.

Become part of a procession through the Art Gallery of New South Wales, led by artist Alwin Reamillo with a new iteration of his Hopping Spirit House. As the house flutters through the Gallery you will encounter traditional dance, performance poetry and contemporary performance. Finally, we will serve the delicious halo halo, a Filipino dessert provided by Kapamilya Eatery. Everyone is welcome to weave and move through the Gallery in this celebration of Filipino culture.

The Bayanihan Philippines Art Project will return in 2017 as a collaboration between Art Gallery of New South Wales, Mosman Art Gallery, Blacktown Arts Centre, Peacock Gallery (Auburn), Campbelltown Arts Centre and Museums and Galleries.
