Now in its 67th year, the Mosman Art Prize is one of the oldest and most prestigious municipally funded visual art prizes in Australia. It is an annual, acquisitive award for painting sponsored by Mosman Municipal Council.

On Thursday night 31 July around 300 people gathered in the Grand Hall to hear the winner of the Mosman Art Prize 2014 announced.
This year the Mosman Art Prize received over 700 entries. Of these 99 have been selected by the Judge Felicity Fenner.
The attendance for the series of talks presented as part of the exhibition Une Australienne: Hilda Rix Nicholas in Paris, Tangier and Sydney has far exceeded any previous records for public programs at the Mosman Art Gallery with over 300 people participating.
MAG is currently developing a blockbuster survey show on the art of Lucy Culliton.
