David Fairbairn is renowned for his distinctive drawings and his fascination for portraiture and the human form. His densely layered works on paper portray the inherent fragility and transient nature of human existence.

Fairbairn’s artistic career has been illustrious – he has been the recipient of at least 40 art prizes and he is represented extensively in public and private collections in Australia and internationally.

This exhibition examines the last twelve years of Fairbairn’s art practice, and illustrates the artist’s dedication, skill and insight into portraiture.

A Campbelltown Arts Centre travelling exhibition, curated by Renée Porter.
