Jon Crother’s background as an architect is evident in much of his work. He draws on the Mosman environment and travelling with a sketchbook, for subject matter. While his work is usually figurative, it aims to suggest the character of a place or object by manipulating its content, through exaggerated perspective and shadows, and their evocative abstraction.
