FOUR HANDS, ONE VISION

Local Hills boy, Anthony Abouhamad, now co-founder of the musical duo ‘Duo de Jordaan’, brings eighteenth-century music back on Sydney’s radar with their tour series Il Maestro e lo Scolare.

Anthony has partnered up with fellow student of The Royal Conservatory of Music, The Hague, Adam Jaffe, to showcase their expertise in four hands repertoire on the harpsichord in Sydney, the Blue Mountains, Canberra and Wollongong. They have already successfully completed their first ever music tour around Europe where they performed throughout the Netherlands as well as in the ‘Musical Instruments Museum’ in Brussels. The boys, now in their mid-twenties, are currently residing in the Netherlands continuing their studies in the fortepiano and the harpsichord under the tutelage of reputable professors in historical performance, such as early keyboard specialists, Jacques Ogg, Patrick Ayrton and Bart van Oort.

Duo de Jordaan’ is expected to bring something unique and powerful to the Australian stage. The programme is a mixture of light hearted, programmatic, drawing-room
