Suzanne Alexander is one of the most accomplished painters of maritime subjects. This drawing workshop, which takes place at historic Mosman Bay, aims to assist artists to capture the movement, vibrancy and energy of life at the bay.

Participants can observe and record a number of maritime subjects; the Sydney Harbour ferries coming and going; boats at their moorings, boat ramps and historic stone seawalls.

During morning tea there is time to reflect on what life would have been like for the stone quarry workers, the shipwrights servicing the whaling fleets or the artists such as Streeton and Roberts living at the artists camp nearby during the 1890s.

Cost: $40, $35 (Gallery Friends) morning tea included
